I've been thinking that one of the areas we have not considered in detail is the need for standards in product design, not only content standards but functionality standards as well. A school might have access to the lab once a week for a certain class and might even have to print some of the material, while another might have a Learning Management System already at work and would like to make extensive/intensive use of the "product" (till we get a name for it). That is why we need to consider SCORM standards during design to assure portability and re-usability in different platforms and systems.
